You bring the judgement. Start with live search by name, place, institution, bill, issue or identifier; then open the source-linked record or entity detail. Browsable topic and member views are being onboarded.

Competitor platforms lead with "support / oppose / sentiment" labels their analyst clients second-guess anyway. The evidence substrate underneath those labels is unimpeachable — and that's what we publish. Your analyst keeps doing analysis; we just stop them being a librarian.

Hansard and committee oral-evidence records link to their official source where available. The standalone Parliament TV recorder is available; record-to-recorder links depend on broadcast metadata that is not yet in the serving contract.

If your work depends on same-day or next-morning committee transcripts, Cite the Record does not substitute for paid live-transcript services today. The canonical Hansard record arrives on Hansard's schedule (typically 2–5 working days). Provisional / live transcript ingest is on the roadmap.

Out of scope by design. CTR is an evidence layer for use alongside your existing CRM, not a replacement for it.

CTR will not ship CRM, email tracking, lobbying distribution, or proprietary contact databases.

Evidence-pack exports

Supported live record pages expose an Evidence Pack for that individual record. Multi-record chronology, topic, person, search, Word and PDF export surfaces are planned and are not presented as available yet.

Bring your own AI

AI helps phrase search queries; results remain deterministic and cited. The walkthrough covers three ways to use your existing model account with source-linked records:

The strict-citation prompt on that page enforces the neutrality policy at the model level: cite every claim with stable_id + source_url, quote excerpts verbatim, refuse to infer intent / influence / sentiment / alignment / stance. Your enterprise legal team will recognise the shape. The component library backing this site is structurally incapable of emitting words like "rebellion" or "aligned with"; the same neutrality boundary applies to anything your AI assistant generates from our data when the prompt is honoured.

Honest trade-off: if your team doesn't already have an enterprise AI subscription, the per-seat cost (Claude for Work, ChatGPT Enterprise, or similar — broadly £20–30/user/month at current pricing) is the gap to budget for. It's a generic spend your IT and legal teams control, not a Cite-the-Record add-on.

What this won't do, by design

Cite the Record is a neutral civic-infrastructure substrate, not a public-affairs consultancy. The list below is the load-bearing boundary that keeps the trust contract honest — and that makes our outputs admissible to your legal review, your client board, and your enterprise AI tenancy.

  • No influence / support / opposition / sentiment / alignment scoring on anyone.
  • No hidden access terms — current availability and any future pricing will be stated plainly.
  • No CRM, no email tracking, no campaign-distribution tooling.
  • No proprietary "we are the database" contact lists — every fact links back to the official source.
  • No "rebellion" / "aligned with" / "targeting" / "driving" language anywhere in our UI or our exports.
  • AI may phrase a search query; ranked results and source-linked records stay deterministic and cited.
